The Garhwal Rifles plunges us into the trenches of Flanders during the brutal winter of 1914. With the Allies marched the Garhwal Brigade of the Meerut Division, Indian Nationals, battling for and along side the colonial occupiers and oppressors of their homeland. Facing the brutal conditions of WWI and the abject racism on both sides of the trenches, the regiment fought with exemplary valour, earning the first two Victoria Crosses awarded to a non-British citizen.
